Jong-Il You, the dean of KDI School of Public Policy and Management, announced their participation in the “Thank You Challenge” campaign on the 23rd June . The purpose of the challenge was to deliver thanks to the medical workers who are dedicated to overcoming COVID-19.
Lim, Chun Taek who is the director of Korea Energy Technology Evaluation and Planning nominated Dean Jong-Il You as a next runner for the challenge, and the dean and KDIS students from various countries studying participated in the event. KDI School currently has international students from 80 countries and has an alumni network from 137 countries.
Prior to this, KDI School took precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in March and April by introducing real-time streaming lectures for all subjects and conducting a campaign to donate masks for international students.
Dean Jong-Il You said, “I would like to express my gratitude and respect to all the people who are struggling at the forefront of COVID 19, including all medical staff dedicated to preventing the spread of COVID 19. To help beat COVID-19, KDI School will strictly follow preventative measures and regulations.”
Dean Jong-Il You appointed the President of the Economics and Humanities and Social Sciences Society, chairman Seong Kyoung Ryung , Professor Kim Ki-chan of the Catholic University, and broadcaster Kwak Hyun-hwa as the next runners of the “Thanks to You Challenge” campaign.
