From August 19th to August 31st, KDI School hosted the 11th Euro-Asia Summer School, in partnership with Leuven Centre for Global Governance Studies, Hitotsubashi University, Seoul National University and the Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacional.
Euro-Asia Summer School is an educational program for students to learn about global governance and also to build an international network with various professionals. This year, the program had the most participants by having 45 students from 15 different countries. Out of 2 weeks program, students spent their 1st week in Seoul National University and KDI School of Public Policy and Management in Sejong City. While students were in Korea, they had a chance to learn and discuss about global governance and international cooperation between nations. On their 2nd week, students spent their time in KU Leuven, Belgium. Students had a chance to analyze the relationship between EU and ASEAN and providing suggestions for how these nations should move on in the future.
Furthermore, students had an opportunity to experience the Korean culture by learning how to cook Korean food and many other cultural activities while they were in Korea. After the program, KDI School has received very positive feedbacks from the students in organization of the program.
